ReRoof Watch turns your city's public building-permit records into a clean roofing-only report: re-roof permits, commercial roofs, and new builds that will need a roofer. Sorted by priority, with a CSV for your CRM or door-knocking list.

We filter each city's permit feed to roofing: residential re-roofs, commercial re-roofs, new construction that needs a roof, and remodels or repairs that mention roof work. No electrical, plumbing, or pool noise.
Each row has the issue date, address, a Google Maps link, valuation and contractor when the city publishes them, and a High/Medium/Low priority flag based on simple rules (permit type and job value).
ZIP codes with the most re-roofs this period (a common door-knocking cue) and which contractors are pulling the most roofing permits, where the city lists a contractor.
All permit records come from each city's public open-data portal. We add the filtering, classification, and formatting. We do not sell "exclusive" leads, and we do not contact homeowners.
Counts below are from our own pipeline run on public portal data for the 14 days ending Nov 2, 2026. They are real counts from a test run, not projections. The most recent permits in some cities lag by a few days.
| Metro | Residential re-roofs | Commercial re-roofs | New builds | Other roof-scope permits | Re-roofs with contractor listed | Re-roofs with value listed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dallas, TX | 89 | 21 | 150 | 13 | 0 of 110 | 0 of 110 |
| Orlando, FL | 101 | 0 | 46 | 0 | 101 of 101 | 101 of 101 |
| Baton Rouge, LA | 76 | 21 | 26 | 3 | 97 of 97 | 75 of 97 |
| New Orleans, LA | 44 | 8 | 9 | 3 | 52 of 52 | 11 of 52 |
"Commercial" and "residential" follow each city's own permit category. "Other roof-scope" means remodels or repairs whose description mentions roof work, found by keyword rules. Louisiana requires a permit and inspection for roof replacement statewide for projects beginning on or after Aug 1, 2025 (Act 239, per the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors), so re-roof permits there cover more of the market than before.

Each city's official open-data portal (Dallas, Orlando, Baton Rouge, New Orleans). Those portals publish permit records for public reuse. The data is free to anyone; you are paying for the filtering, classification, formatting, and delivery. Individual portals may carry their own terms; we link the source in each report.
Often, yes. A re-roof permit is usually pulled by the contractor who already has the job, so it is not an open bid. The value is different: (1) neighborhood canvassing, since nearby homes are often similar age and condition; (2) seeing what competitors are winning and where; (3) new-construction permits, where roofing subs are often still being lined up; and (4) commercial and multi-building roofs. If you want leads that are guaranteed to be uncommitted, this is not that product. We don't guarantee any lead outcome.
It depends on each city's publishing schedule. In our Nov 2, 2026 test run, the newest records were dated Nov 2 for Orlando, Nov 1 for Dallas, and Oct 30 for Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Reports show the issue date on every row.
Where a city labels a permit "re-roof", we use that label. For remodels, repairs, and other types we use keyword rules on the description, which can miss or mislabel some permits; those rows are shown separately as "Other roof scope".
Dallas's published roofing permit records don't include them. You still get the address, issue date, and scope text.
No. Reports include the property address, the contractor named on the permit when the city publishes it (and that contractor's phone number where the city lists one), and the owner's name only when it looks like an organization such as an LLC or a builder. We don't add homeowner contact details, and we don't contact homeowners.
Email us your city. We add cities that publish permit data as open data with usable fields. We can't promise any city or timeline.
Yes, any time, with no contract. See the Terms for how refunds work.
